He's Got Game
I’m a big fan of Marcos Baghdatis and he actually reminds me of another totally talented and emotional player, Marat Safin. They both have very fluid all-around games which they can play successfully on all surfaces – can hit with power and touch, understand how to construct points and seem to play well in the limelight. And boy does Marcos have charisma – fans on all continents seem to love him and his spirit! Sure Baghdatis has his nervous moments as he did in the second set against Hewitt, but then he recovered and played well in the rest of the key moments of the match. With a couple more wins, Marcos could have been Wimbledon Champion… Was that an incredibly far-fetched idea? Well, he was the Number One Junior in the world only three years ago…
