Better in Black

sharapova2blackdress

On the practice court, Maria Sharapova wears the typical t-shirt and sweats.  But when she played last night under the lights on Arthur Ashe stadium, she put on her black party dress!  Sharapova was decked out in a limited-edition black Nike tennis dress adorned with rhinestones around the scoop neck.  This newly-designed dress is only for Sharapova’s night matches during the 2006 U.S. Open.  After the tournament, the dresses will be auctioned to raise money for Sharapova’s new foundation which will help at-risk children around the world achieve their dreams.  Not a bad concept… the dress looks good and it does good too!
