Inter-Office Romance
In office buildings all over the world, many people date the people they see every day. The traveling tennis tours are no different. First, there was Jimmy Connors and Chris Evert, Bjorn Borg and Mariana Simonescu. Then Evert later married British player, John Lloyd. Lleyton Hewitt and Kim Clijsters were a very popular pair before breaking up a couple years ago and there are currently several tennis couples including Roger Federer and Mirka Vavrinec, a former Tour player, and Carlos Moya and Flavia Penetta. In addition, several players on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour are dating or married to their coaches, e.g. Patty Schynder. Of course the most famous "tennis match" of all time has to be Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf. Therefore, the recent flurry of news regarding Andy Roddick should not be a surprise… first PEOPLE magazine reported last week that Andy Roddick was seen hanging out in LA with former flame, Mandy Moore. Then Maria Sharapova was seen courtside in Los Angeles last week at Roddick’s match against Scott Oudsema. Now reports say that Andy Roddick has been secretly dating Maria Sharapova for a year… there were rumors of the two of them spending lots of time together down under earlier this year at the 2006 Australian Open... hmmmnnnn...
