Rain Delays

The rains returned with a vengeance on Saturday leading to the cancellation of all of the matches. It’s especially tough on the players at the U.S. Open because there are no indoor courts on-site as there are at the other Slams to at least allow the players to practice indoors while the courts are soaked. The lucky players who didn’t have matches scheduled for Saturday could venture to one of the indoor clubs on Long Island or in Manhattan for a quick hit. Despite how much players practice day in and day out all year, they always still want to hit a little more… especially when they are waiting to play a match. It’s mental as well as physical conditioning…
