Favorite Court in the World

Courts on Roof in Singapore

So what's your favorite court?  I have played on tennis courts at parks, clubs and stadiums all over the world.  I have played on red clay and green clay, indoor hard and outdoor hard, indoor carpet and outdoor plastic synthetic grass and natural grass.  I have played on courts with high nets, low nets and even a couple times on courts with no nets. I don't have a lucky court, but I do have a favorite court and it's not even my favorite surface, i.e. red clay, or my sort of second favorite surface, i.e. Bolltex carpet, or my third favorite surface, i.e. Rebound Ace.  My favorite court is a nondescript hard court on the grounds of the Thacher school in Ojai, California.  The court is on a little plateau sort of suspended in the Ojai hills above Santa Barbara.  On a clear day, you can see the Pacific Ocean in front of you and peaceful mountains on every side.  It feels like hitting balls in a little part of heaven...
