Roger Federer withdrew from the Paris Indoors on Monday citing fatigue.Federer's late withdrawal was one day after he finally captured his first title in his hometown of Basel.It was after he had won his second tournament in a row and 24th consecutive match.As usual, the tournament schedule was "blamed" and everyone forgave Federer although clearly the organizers of the Paris Indoors were less than thrilled.It was clearly wishful thinking on everyone's part in the first place.For someone like Federer, who would most likely reach the finals, to play three weeks in a row at the very end of a long season and only a couple weeks before the Masters Cup in Shanghai, the schedule was too tough.Well, at least the Paris Indoors was able to sell sponsorship and tickets using Federer's name even if he never made it onto the court...
