You have to give Andy Roddick a boatload of credit. The guy won the U.S. Open a few years ago, was Number One in the world, the top American and he handled all that instant fame so well. Now the past year or so, he’s struggled on court, faced all the doubters and even a few from within it seems. All the while, he has continued to work hard, plug away and believe things will get better.More importantly, along the way, Roddick learned from Andre Agassi that one of Agassi’s biggest regrets was not starting his charitable work earlier in his career. So Roddick created his own foundation a few years ago.Now during his holiday “break” between Thanksgiving and Christmas, Roddick’s already been to Kansas for an exhibition and has three days devoted to charitable events in Florida and Texas for his own foundation. That’s at least four days that he could have been training or just relaxing with family and friends.Gotta give the guy credit, he’s doin good and givin back and that’s really what the holidays are all about, right?
