We are all familiar with the issue related to the popularity of doubles and its place in the current tennis scene.What about mixed doubles?It faces the same dilemma.However, good mixed doubles also has the same appeal as regular doubles and many fans play mixed doubles.Therefore, why not add small mixed doubles draws, e.g. 8 teams, to all the current combined men’s and women’s tournaments such as the Sony Ericsson Open in Key Biscayne, Florida and the Pacific Life in Indian Wells, California, as well as the future combined events being scheduled.There currently are mixed doubles draws at all the Grand Slams, but let’s add a few more to the mix!
