The Australian Open has a legal betting service available on the grounds of Melbourne Park. For fans with the inclination to wager a few bucks, this service adds a bit more to their rooting efforts. In England, fans can also bet on the tennis matches, but it’s not available at the French or U.S. Opens. The other day I saw a father and son walk over to a match and they were very disappointed that a particular player was losing because they had wagered a couple dollars on the outcome of the match.
