The Glamorous Life

Yes, they earn millions of dollars for their efforts. Yes they travel to the major cities and resorts of the world, stay in the best hotels and are treated like royalty when the tournament "hits town" for the week. But the day to day schedule while players are at a tournament can be rather monotonous and not that exciting. Get up, eat breakfast and then rest at the hotel, go to the tournament site and get some treatment and practice. If it's a match day, then there is probably
more treatment after practice. When the match is finished, there is more treatment (every player has a few nagging injuries or needs a massage), the mandatory press conference (sometimes in multiple languages), TV interviews and then finally lunch or dinner and back to the hotel to watch a little TV (often tournament matches at Grand Slams) and then early to bed so that he/she gets enough sleep for the next match. Sightseeing? Clubbing? If that happens at all, it's most likely before the tournament starts because once a player loses, he/she usually wants to leave town ASAP and also has to get to the next city for another tournament. It's all in a day's work for a professional tennis player...
