The Little Magician

The next time you are at an ATP tournament or more likely a Grand Slam, go see a match that Frenchman, Fabrice Santoro plays... singles, doubles or even mixed doubles. Like Belgians Olivier and Christophe Rochus, Santoro's talented tennis shows that you don't need to be six feet tall to play like a giant... but Fabrice really plays unlike any other player I've ever seen. They often call Santoro "The Magician" and if you watch his matches you will learn why. Santoro, who plays
double-handed off both sides, has amazing touch, anticipation and speed around the court. He also can blast the ball at times. Fabrice makes it look so easy because he clearly has such amazing hand-eye coordination and timing. Santoro’s mixture of topspin, slice, deep shots and short angles creates some spectacular rallies. Many tennis fans talk about Federer's on-court magic, but Santoro mixes a pretty potent potion of his own.
