Stamp of Greatness
The Swiss Post recently unveiled a postage stamp honoring Roger Federer. The Swiss Post made an exception in honoring World Number One Federer with the one-franc stamp since it was unusual to create a stamp for a living legend. The stamp depicts Federer holding the Wimbledon trophy. However, Federer is not the only tennis superstar to be honored by his national post. A couple years ago, Arthur Ashe received a similar honor posthumously. These are clearly two athletes
who have transcended their sports, but there are others and one hopes that they may be similarly honored in the future, e.g. Bjorn Borg, Martina Navratilova, Andre Agassi, etc.
