French Open Predictions

Aka random thoughts and guesses…definitely not wishes or hopes for anyone or any event… In no special order...

A male French player will reach the semis
If she reaches the second week, Amelie Mauresmo will win the title
A Russian woman will reach the finals
Neither defending champion, i.e. Rafael Nadal and Justine Henin, will reach the finals
The 2007 French Open champions will each be first-time Roland Garros winners and one will be a first-time Grand Slam champion
Roger Federer will lose before the semis
A new tennis “Superstar” will appear by the end of the tournament
Rain delays will spur calls for a roof over Court Central
One of the 2007 Junior Roland Garros winners will win a regular Grand Slam title sometime in the future…

Those are the boldest predictions I have read on this blog! No Nadal, No Federer, No Djokavic, No Williams, No Sharapova, but a door open for a new superstar ... I look forward to seeing!
