Multi-Tasking at the U.S. Open Tennis

First there were mini radios with live play-by-play of matches at the Grand Slams. Now it’s live television at the 2007 U.S. Open! There is no daily live streaming video of the 2007 U.S. Open tennis matches on the Web as there has been for the past couple Grand Slams, but if you are an American Express cardholder, then you can watch live video of matches on five courts on mini handheld TVs while you are onsite at the Open. One
can be sitting in Arthur Ashe Stadium while watching live TV of the match in Louis Armstrong and vice versa! It is yet another innovative use of technology to enhance the fan experience. What’s next? I want to be able order my lunch from my seat without having to wait in line at a changeover! The technology exists so maybe next year…
