  • One of the women's semifinalists will wear a dress
    • Well… Anna Chakvetadze wore a bright red dress and Justine Henin’s skirt and top combo really looked like a dress!
  • The defending champions will reach at least the semis
    • Maria Sharapova had a tough time as defending champion, but Roger Federer made it all the way to the title… again!
  • Half of the top eight seeds will reach the quarters

    • Well… Serbian star and first-time U.S. Open and Grand Slam finalist, Novak Djokovic, did come pretty close losing five set points in the first set and two in the second before falling to Roger Federer in the finals 7-6, 7-6, 6-4…
  • Sun will shine more than showers will sprinkle during this year’s U.S. Open tennis tournament
