As tennis fans know,
Roger Federer has already reached tennis greatness and his journey has been swift and quite memorable during the past few years. A recently published book,
"The Roger Federer Story Quest for Perfection" by a Swiss tennis journalist who has followed Federer's career since his early years, Rene Stauffer, is definitely a book by a Federer fan and for all of Roger Federer's many fans around the world. The book includes details about Federer's early years as a junior training in the Swiss elite national tennis programs while also including detailed reports on his pro career from the
early years through the end of 2006. There have been many books on famous tennis players, e.g.
"Breaking Back" by
James Blake which were written while they were still competing on the pro tour including many such as "The Roger Federer Story" which were not written by the player himself or herself. There are still several "chapters" to be written in Federer's tennis career and life, but this book offers a detailed glimpse at the early years.
