Roddick May Be the Next Agassi

Andy Roddick achieved another milestone in his career with his recent United States Davis Cup victory. In many ways, Roddick is slowly positioning himself to follow in the huge footsteps of Andre Agassi. Roddick has started early in his career to make his mark off the court through his charitable efforts. The Andy Roddick Foundation has several events during the year and Roddick also participates in charitable events for other
Foundations. All in all, Roddick plays in about 10-15 charity events per year. Andy is a charming, well-spoken, good-looking All-American kinda guy. Roddick has also dated a movie star and singer, i.e. Mandy Moore, while managing to avoid the tabloids for undesirable behavior sometimes exhibited by other famous athletes. On the tennis court, Roddick has a long way to go to match Agassi’s Grand Slam record. However, if Roddick can maintain his top ten performance for another few years and possibly snag another major title, then he has a chance to establish himself for a very memorable post-tennis career as Andre Agassi has done. It is still far away, but Roddick is definitely doing a good job of keeping his feet firmly planted on the ground.
