Doubles Anyone?!

Serena Williams

For the first time in a few years, several top women are playing doubles at the 2008 Australian Open.  Serena Williams and Venus Williams are teaming up again.  Comeback mom, Lindsay Davenport, is playing with Daniela Hantuchova.  Amelie Mauresmo and current World Number Two in singles, Svetlana Kuznetsova, are also pairing up for the doubles competition.  It’s great for both the players and fans.  The players can get

a few extra matches in at the beginning of the year while fans get additional chances, often on smaller courts, to see the top women compete.  None of these teams is seeded, but it wouldn’t be surprising if one of them captured the title… but which one?!
