Serena Williams' Bicycle Shorts

Serena bicycle shorts

Leave it to Serena Williams to make yet another fashion statement as she starts off the year at the 2008 Australian Open.  In her first match, Serena added hot pink bicycle shorts under her white Nike dress.  For years, Serena and many other players have worn lycra-type bicycle shorts for practice, but Serena has taken this fashion trend a step further with the new style.  Many players, men and women, have worn “short” lycra

shorts under their tennis shorts, skirts and dresses for years.  However, the length and bright, as well contrasting colors are what have created the first fashion statement of the 2008 Australian Open.  Well actually… the new true blue tennis courts at Melbourne Park really created the first “fashion statement” of the 2008 Australian Open.
