The Music of Tennis

Band

There have been many tennis players who fancied themselves rock and roll stars.  For example, Jim Courier, Mats Wilander and John McEnroe used to like to hit the guitar at times.  Currently, the Bryan Brothers seem to have created the most noise with their "traveling band" in addition to their awesome tennis career.  There is also a tennis connection with the popular band, Metallica because band member, Lars Ullrich is the son

of the famous Swedish tennis star from a few generations ago, i.e. Torben Ullrich.  The most successful tennis player turned pop star is definitely Yannick Noah who has achieved tremendous success in France and elsewhere.  The connections between tennis and music ring true given the creative aspects of both endeavors.  In addition, professional tennis players listen to a lot of tunes while they are traveling and waiting for matches and often idolize rock stars as much everyone else!
