Tennis Stars Are (Now) "Powerful" Celebrities

- Maria Sharapova is 61st earning $26 million on court and off last year. Sharapova's endorsements include: Nike, Colgate-Palmolive, Pepsi, Sony, Canon, Tag Heuer and Motorola.
- Serena Williams is 69th with $14 million in earnings last year including a new $2 million endorsement with Hewlett-Packard.
- Justine Henin, who recently retired, is 81st with $12.5 million including $5 million in prize money last year. In an indication of the popularity of women's professional tennis players, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Justine Henin outranked the top female golfers on the list, i.e. Lorena Ochoa who is 88th and earned $10 million and Annika Sorenstam who is 93rd and earned $11 million.
