Murray's Next Move

Andy Murray

Scotsman, Andy Murray, has played incredibly solid tennis for the past six months or so and beaten all the top players, i.e. Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in the first quarter of 2009.  The only thing missing from Murray’s current resume is a Grand Slam title.  Murray has indicated his fondness for hard courts and stated that the U.S. Open is his favorite Grand Slam.  Nonetheless, Andy definitely has the game to

challenge Nadal, Federer and Djokovic on the clay courts of Roland Garros and the grass courts of Wimbledon.  As Murray works to slide by number three ranked Djokovic in the rankings this spring and challenge Federer even more, Murray will need to post solid results on all surfaces.  Andy will also need to stay healthy through the grueling spring and summer triple Slam season.  If he does, then Murray should be a strong contender for the title at the French Open, Wimbledon and U.S. Open.
