Kids' Day, Mini-Tennis at the French Open

The first Wednesday of the French Open has traditionally been Kids’ Day at Roland Garros. The stands and grounds are filled with children cheering, often quite loudly, for their favorite tennis players. There are also many tennis-related activities to occupy kids attending the French Open and not only on Kids’ Day. Twenty minute mini tennis sessions are available to children aged between 5 - 10 every day from 11 am - 7 pm. All
of the tennis equipment is provided for the kids and there are even tennis coaches who can teach the children some tennis skills on a specially-designed mini tennis court which is set up on the grounds of Roland Garros near the Tenniseum. More and more tennis tennis tournaments have these opportunities for kids to both watch and play tennis when they attend a pro tournament… what a great way to attract the next generation of tennis players and fans!
