2009 French Open Tennis Trophy Count

We salute the champions of the 2009 French Open… Svetlana Kuznetsova captured the Women’s Singles title and her second Grand Slam singles crown. Men’s Singles winner, Roger Federer, finally achieved a “career Grand Slam.” In doubles, Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual won their second consecutive French Open Women's Doubles title. It's Ruano Pascual's tenth Grand Slam Women's Doubles title, but only the second with Medina Garrigues. On the men’s side, Leander Paes and Lukas Dlouhy won their first Grand Slam Men’s Doubles title together. It was Dlouhy’s first Grand Slam title while Paes has won four other Grand Slam Men’s Doubles titles with different partners. Bob Bryan, with partner Liezel Huber, won his sixth Grand Slam Mixed Doubles title and second consecutive Mixed Doubles title at Roland Garros. It was Huber’s first Grand Slam Mixed Doubles crown to go with her four women's doubles major titles. Two sixteen year olds, unseeded Swede Daniel Berta claimed the French Open Junior Boys’ title and Kristina Mladenovic of France, hitting serves up to 124 mph, won the French Open Junior Girls’ title.
