The Championships, Wimbledon 2009: What's At Stake for the Top Men?

The results of the third Grand Slam tennis tournament of the year at The Championships, Wimbledon 2009 matter in different ways for each of the top eight men. So what’s at stake for each of the players?
Rafael Nadal – He’s trying to defend his title, but lacking his typical prep hours on the practice court…
Roger Federer – Feeling confident after achieving a “career slam” at Roland Garros, but now wants to win Wimbledon again, break Pete Sampras’ Slam record… and oh, become Number One again… no pressure!
Andy Murray – Having become the first Brit in over seventy years to win Queen’s Club, now all eyes are on Murray at Wimbledon… as usual!
Novak Djokovic – Seems a little out of the spotlight at the moment, but still dangerous, especially as he wants/needs to prove that “he’s still in the conversation”….
Juan Martin del Potro – He showed at Roland Garros that he’s ready to seriously challenge, but few probably are focused on him to win on grass at this stage… although he could surprise!
Andy Roddick – He’s clearly aiming to (finally) collect his second Grand Slam title… here… depends on his draw and the ankle he twisted at Queens, as well as the play of a couple other guys in the draw!
Gilles Simon – He’s struggling to win matches, let alone stay in the top ten… doing well here would kick start his year and career
Fernando Verdasco – He started the year strongly at the Australian Open and his lefty serve could help him on the grass, but can he uphold his seeding and reach a career best quarterfinal or better?
