The Championships, Wimbledon 2009: Dangerous Floaters

As The Championships, Wimbledon 2009 commence on the grass courts of The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, there are several talented unseeded players who could post big wins and/or advance into the later rounds of the tournament… they include:
WOMEN:
• Magdalena Rybarikova – recently won the grass court tune-up event in Birmingham
• Kimiko Date Krumm – former Wimbledon semifinalist on the comeback at the age of thirty-eight
• Sabine Lisicki – hard-serving German who won the Family Circle Cup
• Kateryna Bondarenko – former Wimbledon Junior Girls’ Champion from the Ukraine
• Bethanie Mattek-Sands – hoping to surpass her fourth round appearance in 2008
• Jelena Dokic – Wimbledon semifinalist in 2000 now on the comeback at twenty-six
• Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez – lefty serve and volleyer from Spain
• Alexa Glatch – American teenager with a strong serve and forehand
• Michelle Larcher de Brito – Portugese teenager, with LOUD ground strokes, who trains at Bollettieri’s
• Urszula Radwanska – sister of Agnieska and former Wimbledon Junior Girls’ Champion from Poland
• Severine Bremond Beltrame – French serve and volleyer who reached the Wimbledon quarters in 2006
• Sania Mirza – talented Indian player with powerful forehand
• Laura Robson – 2008 Wimbledon Junior Girls’ Champion from England
• Tamarine Tanusugarn – Thai serve and volleyer who reached the quarters in 2008
MEN:
• Taylor Dent – American qualifier whose serve and volleying style is well-suited to the grass courts
• Lleyton Hewitt – former Wimbledon Champion on the comeback from hip surgery
• Mischa Zverev – tall, lefty serve and volleyer
• Benjamin Becker – ‘nother, albeit shorter and dark-haired, German with a booming first serve
• Jeremy Chardy – big-serving Frenchman with stylish game
• Robert Kendrick – American who pushed Nadal to five sets in the past
• Ernests Gulbis – former French Open quarterfinalist and (unfulfilled) talent from Latvia
• Fabrice Santoro – French Magician who still may have a few tricks at the age of thirty-six

• Sam Querrey – tall, hard-serving American
