"Wii" Wimbledon... U.S. Open...

Professional tennis has embraced technology with Hawk-Eye electronic line-calling among other innovations. Now tennis fans can use EA Sport's Grand Slam Tennis game on the Nintendo Wii. The game allows tennis fans to play as their favorite players from present and past on Centre Court at Wimbledon, as well as at the Australian Open, Roland Garros and US Open. Grand Slam Tennis even mimics each player’s own style so fans
can serve like Boris Becker or blast forehands like Roger Federer. The game is one of the first to make use of the Wii’s MotionPlus controls which allows for more realistic shot making. The game features 23 players with 136 Grand Slam singles titles between them including current stars Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova and Ana Ivanovic, as well as tennis legends including Pete Sampras, Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe, Stefan Edberg, Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert and Justine Henin. Tennis fans can now practice what they’ve learned from watching the top tennis pros compete during the Grand Slams!
