Your New Tennis Racket May Win You $1 Million

If you're thinking of buying a new tennis racket, now's the time... especially if you live in the United States and are 18 or older. "Racket Up, America!" is a new marketing effort by the Tennis Industry Association and the major tennis manufacturers and retailers across the country. This special promotion offers tennis fans and players who purchase a new tennis racket before September 30, 2009, the chance to hit a serve for the $1 million grand prize,
along with a trip for two to the finals of the 2010 US Open, as well as other prizes totaling $10,000. The serve for $1 million will take place at the BNP Paribas Showdown in New York’s Madison Square Garden on March 1, 2010, during Tennis Night in America. You can purchase any racket brand at any retailer, but you must register your new racket purchase. Be sure to demo your racket before you make the final choice!

This promotion is another effort to increase interest in tennis and encourage more people to enjoy the game of tennis. It definitely benefits the racket manufacturers who hope that sales will increase, but it is a "win-win" promotion for everyone who hits the tennis courts (again) to play "the sport of a lifetime!"
