Wozniacki for Stella McCartney adidas Tennis

Danish tennis pro, Caroline Wozniacki, nineteen and a new member of the top ten, has replaced Maria Kirilenko as the tennis player wearing the stylish Stella McCartney for adidas tennis attire and footwear. The adidas by Stella McCartney line was launched with a
spring/summer collection in February, 2005. The Stella McCartney line, which features cutting-edge adidas technology with stylish design, includes the Performance Dress utilizing adidas Climalite technology, the Performance Hot Pant and Bra and the Tennis Image Jacket. Wozniacki will also wear the Skynde tennis shoe, which is built on the adidas Barricade V sneaker.
Wozniacki has worn adidas tennis attire for the past couple years, but she is sporting the Stella McCartney line for the first time at the 2009 U.S. Open. Wozniacki has also been a member of the free adidas Player Development Program, which offers players additional training services, advice and motivation to complement their work with their own coaches and trainers.
All of the tennis clothing companies produce new lines a couple times a year featuring different colors, patterns and occasionally innovative designs. What sets the Stella McCartney line apart is that she is a well-known fashion designer which adds cachet to her tennis attire. In addition, some of the colors are non-traditional colors for tennis attire which usually features bright colors, e.g. light salmon, dark grape. In addition, many items in the Stella McCartney tennis line can easily be worn off the court as casual clothing. The new line is great for Wozniacki and terrific for tennis because the Stella McCartney line transcends tennis and helps the sport achieve cross-over appeal… at least in terms of a fashion statement!
