Tennis Country 2010 New Year's Wishes

As the New Year dawns, we share some of our wishes for the tennis world in 2010 and beyond…
• The WADA ‘whereabouts rules’ are adjusted and no tennis player is awakened to be tested at 7 am in the middle of a Grand Slam…
• Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal play each other and Novak Djokovic and Andy Roddick face off in the first round of Davis Cup
• Maria Sharapova’s shoulder (and serve) take her to another Grand Slam title
• David Nalbandian, Richard Gasquet and Marcos Baghdatis work through their injuries and demons and win Grand Slam titles (sometime)…
• Marat Safin plays mixed doubles at a Grand Slam with sister, Dinara Safina
• Kim Clijsters plays for a couple more years… at least!
• There will be no on-court coaching on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour…
• Gabriela Sabatini plays tennis again… even just for a couple exhibitions a year
• Scandal does not rock the sport of tennis (again)…
• There are more players with one-handed backhands coming up through the ranks… and maybe a couple of serve and volleyers to mix things up!
