Tennis Country's 2010 First Quarter Highlights - Men

Tennis Country’s snapshot of the memorable moments on the men’s pro tennis tour during the First Quarter…
• Greatest Accomplishment:
o Roger Federer starting off the year by winning his sixteenth Grand Slam title at the 2010 Australian Open.
• Biggest Disappointment:
o Rafael Nadal retiring with a knee injury at the 2010 Australian Open just as he seemed to be rounding back into form. Rafa’s body is his biggest “weakness”…
• Major Surprise:
o Andy Murray’s “slide” after reaching the 2010 Australian Open final. Murray only won four matches in February and March.
• Fresh New Face:
o John Isner’s strong tournament and Davis Cup performances during the winter swing. He won his first title at his first tournament of the year in Auckland and then reached the round of 16 at the Australian Open and then lost in another final to Sam Querrey compiling a 15-7 match record in the first quarter.
