2010 French Open in 3D

This year, all matches will be broadcast in HD to tennis fans with HD TVS. The French Open is also offering 3D coverage of the tournament to tennis fans via the Internet, on TV and in movie theaters across France. Orange is providing 3D broadcasting to its DSL and
fiber subscribers who are equipped with compatible television sets and special glasses. Certain matches will be shown live in 3D on a special channel on Orange TV, in collaboration with France TV, the host broadcaster. The recent Mutua Madrilena Masters tournament in Madrid also showed the final in 3D.
The men’s singles final on Sunday, June 6th will also be shown live in 3D in over two hundred theatres across France. For the price of a movie ticket, tennis fans unable to attend the final in person will be able to experience the excitement of the final live in 3D. In addition, almost 2,600 TV/HIFI retail outlets across Europe will allow shoppers to watch the tournament on the new 3D Panasonic televisions, via Orange in France and via Eurosport throughout the rest of Europe.
