2010 Wimbledon Trophy Count

We salute the champions of The Championships, Wimbledon 2010...
Rafael Nadal defeated Tomas Berdych 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 for his second Wimbledon title and eighth Grand Slam singles title. Serena Williams won her fourth Wimbledon singles title and thirteenth Grand Slam singles title defeating Vera Zvonareva in the final 6-3, 6-2. The doubles featured a pair of unseeded winners. On the men’s side, Jurgen Meltzer
and Philipp Petzschner won their first Grand Slam title defeating the sixteenth seeds, Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau 6-1, 7-5, 7-5. American, Vania King, and Kazakhstan's, Yaroslava Shvedova, beat Russians, Vera Zvonareva and Elena Vesnina 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 to win the Ladies’s Doubles title. Shvedova is the first player from Kazakhstan to win a Wimbledon title. In the mixed doubles, Leander Paes and Cara Black defeated Wesley Moodie and Lisa Raymond 6-4, 7-6 (5) for their third Grand Slam doubles title together (they also won the 2010 Australian Open and 2008 U.S. Open). In the Junior Girls’ final, Kristyna Pliskova defeated Japan's Sachie Ishizu 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 joining twin sister, Karolina, who won the 2010 Australian Open Junior Girls’ title, as a Grand Slam junior champion. Eighteen year old Hungarian, Marton Fucsovics, beat Benjamin Mitchell 6-4, 6-4 to capture the Junior Boys’ title.
