ATP Tour Inks Sponsorship Deal With FedEx

FedEx

Despite the continued challenging economic times, the ATP World Tour has signed another major sponsorship deal following on the heels of its agreement with Corona Extra beer this spring.  FedEx has signed a three-year deal as a global Platinum Sponsor and

Official Carrier of the ATP World Tour.  The agreement begins in November at the ATP World Tour Finals in London and runs through 2013.  FedEx has had a long involvement in sports sponsorship with its name attached to major stadiums and events in the United States and overseas including at the French Open.

FedEx receives global marketing rights and will also sponsor 17 ATP tournaments in twelve different countries.  FedEx will also be prominently featured on the ATP’s official website including on a special section, the FedEx Reliability Zone, which will feature videos and polls while focusing on enhanced analysis of player match records, consistency and success on various surfaces, in pressure situations and against specific opponents.  It’s impressive for professional tennis to secure another deal with a blue-chip global brand such as FedEx and one hopes that portends even more successful sponsorship deals with the Tours and their tournaments over the next year or two.
