Venus Williams' (Black, White and Red) U.S. Open Tennis Dresses

Once again, Venus Williams has made the biggest fashion statement of the 2010 U.S. Open tennis tournament with not only her two black "evening dresses" for her EleVen clothing line, but also through her relationship with Ralph Lauren. Venus played on
opening night of the 2010 U.S. Open decked out in another black variation on her can-can dress that attracted so much attention at the 2010 French Open and Wimbledon. Then last night, Venus unveiled a glittery and sparkly sequined black "evening dress". It was reminiscent of the wonderful designs of the late British tennis clothing designer, Ted Tinling, who designed sparkly dresses for Billie Jean King and others for decades. Venus's black "evening dress" could also be compared to Maria Sharapova's black "evening dress" from a few years ago that was inspired by Audrey Hepburn. During a subsequent day session, Venus was decked out in a red sequined dress!

Prior to the start of the U.S. Open, Venus Williams participated in a special online clinic sponsored by Ralph Lauren and she wore a limited-edition white tennis dress that was designed by Ralph Lauren in partnership with EleVen. There is also a special limited-edition US Open polo shirt. Fifteen percent of the sales from this limited edition dress and polo will be donated to the Women's Sports Foundation. They are available at the Ralph Lauren store onsite at the U.S. Open, at Macy's Herald Square and online. Stylish tennis attire for a worthy organization - it's all good!
