Tennis Country's 2010 Third Quarter Highlights - Men

Tennis Country’s snapshot of the memorable moments on the men’s pro tennis tour during the Third Quarter…
• Greatest Accomplishment:
o We’re going for a tie (again!)… Rafael Nadal completed a career slam by winning his first U.S. Open title while the Bryan Brothers became the winningest doubles team in history during the summer and capped that off by winning the U.S. Open title again!
• Biggest Disappointment:
o (Coachless) Andy Murray’s surprising loss to Stan Wawrinka at the U.S. Open ended yet another (predicted by many) run to a Grand Slam title… the wait for a Slam title continues…
• Major Surprise:
o Novak Djokovic’s impressive form and stunning upset of Roger Federer in the U.S. Open semis (staving off two match points in the process) signaled the return of Nole to the top contenders.
• Fresh New Face:
o Mardy Fish, slim, trim and fighting hard, won back-to-back titles during the summer and capped a “career summer” by winning all three points in the United States Davis Cup team’s win over Colombia, in Bogota, to remain in the World Group in 2011.
