Mats "Wilander on Wheels"
Swedish tennis legend and former Number One ranked player, Mats Wilander, holder of seven Grand Slam singles titles, i.e. three French Open titles, three Australian Open titles and one U.S. Open, as well as one doubles title at Wimbledon, is taking his tennis
to the fans wherever they are… Wilander is hitting the road aka “Wilander on Wheels” to offer tennis lessons, clinics, pro-ams, etc. to tennis players around the United States and even overseas! Wilander and Cameron Lickle, the former Number One player at Navy, are travelling around in a Winnebago teaching and playing tennis!
The tennis lessons and group clinics are not cheap, but everyone has the opportunity to hit with Mats and spend time with him during the day because each “session” also usually includes a lunch or dinner, as well as some break time. Since Mats does the travelling, there is also the convenience that he comes to your club/court. It’s a novel concept and seems to be a “win-win” scenario for both avid tennis players, as well as Wilander.
