Lady Gaga's Designer (Alex Noble) Turns to Tennis Ball (Dress) Designs

Bethanie Mattek-Sands, who is a solid singles and doubles player, seeded 30th at Wimbledon this year, has been known for her unique and er outlandish tennis outfits and accessories. For example, her knee-high socks, black eye underliner, etc. This year, Mattek-Sands,
ala Anne White in her full-body white pantsuit years ago, garnered attention for the Alex Noble outfit she wore on court for her opening round match, as well as the dress she wore to the pre-Wimbledon party. Unfortunately, the white jacket with tennis balls and fringe on its studded sleeves wasn’t enough to help Mattek-Sands play well enough to reach the second round as she was upset in three tough sets by Misaki Doi, a qualifier from Japan.
Mattek-Sands really turned heads at the pre-Wimbledon party where she wore an outfit designed by Lady Gaga’s designer, Alex Noble. The dress, adorned with yellow tennis balls, racket strings and a tennis net also included a “headdress” and fluorescent lime green/yellow heels/short boots. All in all, it was quite attention-getting! Nonetheless, Mattek-Sands will need to win on the court in the future for her “fashionable” outfits to continue to garner interest and press…
