2011 U.S. Open: What's At Stake for the Top 8 Men's Seeds?

The results of the final Grand Slam tennis tournament of the year at 2011 U.S. Open matter in different ways for each of the top eight men. So what’s at stake for each of the players?
Novak Djokovic – His first Grand Slam as the Number One seed and heavy favorite… he’s having a career year and the only question is whether he has enough left to add some extra icing to his large cake!
Rafael Nadal – He has clearly lost his “mojo”, and not just against Djokovic, so this is an important Slam to reestablish his confidence heading towards 2012.
Roger Federer – He hasn't won a tournament since January and a Slam since the 2010 Australian Open and the key will be whether he can play well enough on the big points for seven straight matches and end the Slam year on a high note.
Andy Murray – He’s capable of beating anyone, but still has to prove to himself and everyone else that he can do it in a Slam final… might be easier with lower expectations this time around…
David Ferrer – Most will focus on whether he can "make his seeding” rather than win the title, especially since he’s also coming back from an injury.
Robin Soderling – He’s coming back from injury and off the radar, but still always dangerous against the top players and has yet to win a Slam.
Gael Monfils – The talent is there, but can the body and mind (finally) match up?
Mardy Fish – This is “his year”… this is his best chance to win a Slam title… can he handle the pressures and attention and seize the moment?
