Intangible: Caroline Wozniacki may still be ranked Number One on the computer, but Petra Kvitova also won six titles including Wimbledon and the year-end championships in which she beat Wozniacki.  Kvitova also led the Czech Rerpublic to the Fed Cup title in Russia.  It was a career-defining year for Kvitova, who has shown signs of great potential in the past few years.  The challenge for Kvitova in 2012 will be dealing with the expectations and pressure she will face being a “favorite”.  In addition, as she moves closer to actually becoming Number One on the computer rankings, the press attention will also be an added challenge she’ll need to handle.  Many players win one Grand Slam and never capture a second one, but Kvitova seems as if she has the mental strength and game to win many more.  How Petra fares in 2012 will shed a lot of light on her prospects for long-term Grand Slam glory…
